Today I met Sofia (left) and Daniella (right). Sofia choses to go by “Monica”. They are baristas in Dublin, by way of Romania. They immediately struck up a conversation with me because my shirt referenced Santa Monica, CA. They then told me how much they both want to visit California someday. They’ve heard that the minimum wage is incredibly high, and that the weather is always perfect. They also told me that we must visit Romania. Daniella exclaimed, “We are good people, and we are bad people”. She then explained to me that while it is a beautiful place, I must always keep my wallet in my front pocket to avoid being robbed. Good advice, Daniella. On that note, I’ll take my cappuccino and be on my merry way….
