We met Laurie in Angers, France. She was dining with her sister next to our table and they both couldn’t take their eyes off of the food we had ordered (and neither could we)! Two years ago, Laurie moved from her home in France to a town just outside Cologne, Germany for a job opportunity. When we met, she was on a two-week holiday to Angers, visiting family and taking some time out of her hectic work life. She was very surprised to have met a couple from Nashville without the Southern accent! After a few minutes of conversing, Laurie offered her contact information and told us that when we visit Germany, we are more than welcome to stay with her. She is one of the MANY people we have met along the way to show us the kind of generosity we never expected to find on our journey!
