Gia owns a Mediterranean restaurant in Catania, Sicily that’s simply called “Kebab”. When we finally found a room late during our first night in Sicily, we arrived hungry and luckily stumbled into his humble restaurant. It was the only place close to our hotel that was open at 1AM. Gia came to Catania from Bangladesh, and has lived in the area for the past 5 years. While he loves running his restaurant, he is admittedly unimpressed with Sicily in general, and often misses his home in Bangladesh. Gia served us with the best Kebab wraps that we have ever had, anywhere. To be honest, there’s no way to describe them. Meat, peppers, hot sauce, cabbage, tzatziki sauce, tomatoes, and then the secret ingredient: french fries! These wraps are huge! Needless to say, Gia treated us like locals and we didn’t go to bed hungry. We will definitely be eating at his place again before we leave!
