We met Alessandro during the large Saturday family gathering that took place in the home of where we were staying in Cassino, Italy. Alessandro is a 25-year-old Cassino native, that currently works in the land surveillance business with his father. He was previously working an office job, but due to the lack of opportunity for career growth, he decided to make the transition into the land development industry. Alessandro absolutely loves motorcycle racing. After the feast of a lunch that we ate that day, he went straight to the couch and was glued to the television watching the highly anticipated weekend motorcycle races. It should be noted that he doesn’t just watch TV, he gets heavily involved. Throughout the first race of the day, he spent much of his time yelling at the screen, and charging the television anytime the race wasn’t going as he had hoped. His mother told us that he has a weekend ritual of watching the races on TV, and that there is never a dull moment while he’s enjoying the program. Alessandro is also learning to play guitar, and just finished learning how to play the infamous “Stairway To Heaven”. A true right of passage for any aspiring guitarist…
