We hung out with Alessio, Luigi, and David on one of the busiest Saturday nights of the year in Cassino, Italy. We were staying with Alessio’s family during our time in Cassino, and he was kind enough to take us out with him and his friends so we could enjoy the town. Alessio (left) is a born and raised resident of Cassino, and has a great sense of pride in regards to his hometown. He has a passion for all things that revolve around fishing! He owns his own business in Cassino selling fishing supplies and merchandise. His friends Luigi and David were also great company for us on the night that we met them.

Luigi (middle) is a nurse who is originally from Naples. He did a majority of his schooling in Prague, and currently has a job prospect in Germany. He mentioned that he would one day love to practice nursing in America, but unfortunately his nursing certification wouldn’t be valid in The States, so he was skeptical about that dream becoming a reality.

David (right) is a 33-year-old Cassino resident and long-time friend of Allesio. We had a very tough time conversing with each other because our Italian and his English were equally limited! The one thing that I can say about David was that he wore a smile on his face the entire night, and was always more than welcome to hand us a fresh beer any chance he got the opportunity! You could tell that these three guys have a great friendship that can only be built over many, many years.
