Once again, we lucked out and were able to connect with another familiar face! We met BJ in Venice, Italy as he was abroad for work, hailing all the way from Las Vegas, NV. I first met BJ during our college years, and we’ve stayed close friends ever since. He currently works for an airline company and primarily focuses on the buying and selling of aircrafts from all over the world. When we met, he had a few days of free time before he made his way to Rome for business. BJ and I have a reoccurring habit of having too good of a time together…and Venice was no exception. We spent a few days in Venice enjoying amazing food, wine, and the local drink of choice, the “Aperol Spritz”. This regionally popular cocktail consists of Aperol liquor, prosecco, and soda water. These cocktails served as quite the aperitif before we dove into our nightly tapas, followed by the 1.5L jug of wine (pictured). Needless to say, Venice showed us a great time, and we are so thankful for the memories we’ve been able to create with long-time friends while traveling.
