Peylor

Leading up to this post, I can honestly say that Peylor (apologies if the spelling is incorrect) is the undisputed King of Thai street food in my eyes. Over the past several days we’ve tested out several promising vendors throughout Bangkok, and nothing has even come close to the pork shoulder soup that Peylor makes from his humble street corner kitchen. It should be noted that I usually don’t enjoy soup, and I also usually don’t enjoy pork, but this guy’s food is the absolute exception! It is the perfect blend of Thai spice, fresh herbs, and noodles that are cooked to perfection. Place an order, take a seat at any one of his four street-side plastic tables with matching chairs, and prepare to be amazed! When I struck up a conversation with Peylor, we relied completely on hand-gestures due to the language barrier. When I asked him for his name, he didn’t understand what I was saying. Luckily, his business partner and wife was sitting close by and chimed in. She yelled out in Thai and told him very sternly to say: “My name is Peylor”! I could tell by the look on his face he knew all too well not to disappoint her! Thanks for the amazing meals Peylor! I have a feeling that we will be visiting you again before we leave Bangkok!

Musically,
