We were lucky enough to meet Chris and his wife, Sarah, in Phuket, Thailand. They were taking a holiday with mutual friends of ours and we were happy to share a rooftop bbq dinner with them while watching the sunset go down over the water. Chris is originally from New Jersey, and Sarah is originally from Salt Lake City, Utah. The road that they have travelled together has been extremely unique and inspiring. Chris works is casino gaming machine sales, and through his line of work, they recently moved to Macau, China in order for him to fulfill a great work-related opportunity. They have been living in Macau for six months and absolutely love it! They are extremely excited for the fact that over the next several years, their 18-month-old daughter, Betsy, will have a jump-started opportunity to learn the Chinese language. While the thought of living abroad is both new and exciting, Chris openly admits that he is a “full-blooded American” through and through who loves all things hunting, fishing, camping, sports, and American food related (can you tell by his shorts that he’s still proud to be American)? Upon completion of his work in Macau, they plan to call somewhere in Utah their permanent home in order to take advantage of the wonderful outdoor activities and breathtaking landscapes. We are so glad that we got to meet this lovely couple, and wish them nothing but success on their new life abroad!
