After meeting up with a good friend in Tokyo, we all agreed it was only appropriate to entertain ourselves in true Japanese fashion…playing video games at the Sega Cafe! We settled on a competitive drumming game with all instructions written in Japanese, naturally. Yasutomo saw our pathetic, caveman-like attempts at beating out whatever rhythm necessary to the ultra-hyper music, clearly having no clue what we were doing. She politely intervened and set us straight! Yasutomo is an avid fan of video games and clearly enjoys her job. She enthusiastically invited us to come back the next day to venture even deeper into the cafe’s video game haven. She loves animé and is always looking for new people to play video games with. Should you ever find yourself in the Shibuya area of Tokyo, go to the Sega Cafe and ask for Yasutomo! She works Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
