Nikki (pictured left) is a wife and mother of two. She was born in Italy along with her older sister Nancy (pictured right). At age eight, Nikki and her family moved to New York City to live closer to her mother’s brother and his family. She did not speak a word of English and was placed in a school where she at first struggled to keep up. After a few months of watching American television, Nikki said she quickly caught on to the English language and flourished. She lived in New York for 15 years before following her sister back to Cassino, Italy where she met her husband through a family friend soon thereafter. Today, Nikki teaches English and her husband owns his own construction company. They just finished building their dream home (it took them 17 years to build!) and live just minutes away from her sister where they get together for fantastic Sunday feasts; which we were lucky enough to partake in.
