We stayed with this wonderful group while traveling through Stockholm, Sweden. The breathtaking sunsets, skylines, and the vast array of such diverse cuisine has moved Stockholm near the top of my “favorites” list while traveling through Europe. Anna (left), and Victor (middle) are a great couple that are newly living together in the Stockholm area. In fact, Anna recently moved to Stockholm just over two weeks ago from Warsaw, Poland. She was born in Chicago, IL, then moved to Toronto, Canada until she was 10. Her family then moved back to Warsaw. Anna jokes that between she and Victor, they have five passports! She is adjusting well, and excited about starting her new life in Stockholm. Victor couldn’t be happier, because he openly admits to despising the “long-distance” nature of their relationship beforehand. Victor is originally from Brazil but moved to Stockholm when he was eight, and currently works as a Civil Engineer dealing with the tram sector of Public Transportation. He loves his work. He enjoys Stockholm largely because of the diverse population and the fact that “everyone is accepted and fits in”. Justyna (pronounced “You-stena”; pictured right) was visiting Anna from Warsaw at the same time we were visiting. They are long-time friends. She’s pursuing a career in the pharmaceutical industry, currently conducting and overseeing several different clinical trials. It was so fun to witness Anna and Justyna converse in Polish and laugh like the childhood friends that they are, and then immediately switch to English at the drop of a hat to continue conversing with us. Thanks for not letting us feel left out of the conversation guys!
